London Southend and East of England Co-op Travel to host second Travel Show
London Southend Airport has today announced it will host its second-ever consumer travel show at the airport’s Holiday Inn hotel on 26 January 2025. Last year, over 300 would-be travellers came to the inaugural travel show seeking inspiration for their next summer holiday.
The event, which has been organised by the airport along with East of England Co-op Travel, will feature numerous stands and presentations from some of the biggest holiday brands which already operate flights from the airport – including easyJet holidays, Disney Holidays, Balkan Holidays and Santa’s Lapland. Many of the tour operators attending will also be offering discounted holidays limited only to customers who attend on the day.
For those people who have been inspired, East of England Co-op Travel staff will be on hand to book holidays on the day. In addition, guests can pre-register for an exclusive behind-the-scenes airport tour and enter a free prize raffle. Free parking at the Holiday Inn will also be available for the event, which will run from 1100 until 1600.
Commenting on the event, London Southend Airport’s Business Development Director Nigel Mayes said: “With 17 easyJet destinations available next year, plus the return of Lapland and Bulgaria flights with Santa’s Lapland and Balkan Holidays respectively, we have a lot more destinations for travellers to choose from in 2025. Whether you want to ‘fly and flop’ at beach destinations like Malta, Faro and Almeria, or if you fancy a city break in Marvellous Marrakech or Perfect Pisa, or if you want to zip down the slopes at the numerous ski resorts served by our flights to Geneva, we have holidays for everyone at London Southend next year.”
Caroline Thorne, Head of Travel for the East of England Co-op said: “We’re thrilled to be hosting at the Travel Show at London Southend Airport, offering customers an exciting opportunity to explore the world of travel options in one convenient location. It’s a chance to showcase the best holiday destinations and provide expert advice to help make every journey memorable. Our colleagues will be on hand to book holidays as well as help with booking extras such as airport parking and exciting excursions.
“Southend’s growing appeal as a hub for both leisure and business travel, make it the perfect venue to connection with our community and help them plan their next adventure.”
A full list of exhibitors includes: Balkan Holidays, Co-op Holidays, Crystal Ski Holidays, Disney Holidays, East of England Co-op, easyJet holidays, Holiday Inn, Iberostar, Palladium Hotels, Santa’s Lapland, Spring Hotels, Typically Holidays, Visit Malta and Visit Portugal.
