London Southend Airport is easy to get to and from by car from London and across the South of England. We’re less than 35 miles from East London, with direct connections to the A13 and the A127. The M25 also makes the drive from anywhere in the South East of England a breeze.

Here’s how you can get to Southend.
Via the M25
Via the M25, take exit 29 for the A127 towards Southend. You will then be able to follow the ✈︎ signs as you approach the airport and Southend from the A127.
From East & Central London
Take either the A12 or A13 and follow signs for Southend.
From Kent (Dartford Crossing)
From Kent, you can take the M25 north bound (counter clockwise) then take the exit 29 for the A127 towards Southend.
Or, you can take take exit 30 for the A13, then the A127 from the M2 and A282. You will then be able to follow the ✈︎ signs as you get near to the airport and Southend from the A127.

If you’re picking up or dropping off at London Southend Airport, then you can use the Short Stay, or the Long Stay 3 car parks.
Cycling to/from London Southend Airport
If you’re cycling to London Southend Airport, you are welcome to make use of our bike shelter. This can be found in our Long Stay 1 car park, which is adjacent to Southend Airport train station.

How long does it take from landing to leaving the Airport?
Landing at London Southend Airport and leaving the airport can take as little as 15 minutes! That’s, of course, on a very good day… So factor in approximately half an hour from arriving back at the airport to leaving the terminal.
Where can I drop someone off?
You can drop off or pick up passengers in our Short Stay car park, but charges do apply. There is also a free of charge pick up/drop off facility for up to 15 minutes available in our Long Stay 3 car park.
Where can I pick someone up from?
You can use our pick-up/drop-off facility in Long Stay 3 – this gives you 15 minutes free of charge to say your hellos and wave your goodbyes.
