Apply to fly a drone
If you would like to operate a drone in either the Flight Restricted Zone (FRZ), the Runway Protected Zone (RPZ) or in controlled airspace surrounding London Southend Airport, please submit an application via Altitude Angel, a dedicated platform for managing drone (UAS) flight approvals within London Southend’s controlled airspace.
From Saturday, February 1, all UAS operators must use the Altitude Angel portal to apply for flight permissions.
How to apply:
Step 1 – access the Altitude Angel online portal here or via the below map.
Step 2 – submit a detailed application, including your planned flight location, altitude and relevant permits.
Step 3 – await confirmation or feedback from the London Southend Airport Air Traffic Control team. Applications within certain zones may require additional review by authorised personnel.
