easyJet adds hat trick of new routes from London Southend Airport for next winter

  • Three brand new routes from London Southend to Barcelona, Lanzarote and Salzburg will take off from October 2025, with seats now on sale from just £29.99*
  • Nine existing summer routes have been extended throughout the winter, providing greater choice and connectivity from the airport throughout the year

easyJet has announced three brand-new winter routes from award-winning London Southend Airport to Barcelona, Lanzarote and Salzburg, with seats now on sale from just £29.99.

Flights to Barcelona will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays from 26 October, while flights to Lanzarote will depart three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 27 October. The new Salzburg service will operate twice weekly on Saturdays throughout the winter, from 6th December. 

The addition of three brand new routes now means easyJet offers 20 destinations from the airport, where it will open a three-aircraft base next month, supporting around 1200 jobs including direct jobs for pilots and cabin crew. 

Vibrant Barcelona, with its beautiful beaches and rich blend of history, art, and architecture continues to draw scores of visitors. The city also boasts a lively culinary scene, complemented by bustling markets, tapas bars and hotels to suit every budget.

Lanzarote offers a unique and rugged landscape shaped by its volcanic history, featuring dramatic vistas of lava fields and the stunning Timanfaya National Park. The island is renowned for its beautiful beaches which provide perfect spots for sunbathing and water sports all year round.  

Salzburg  – world famous as the filming spot for The Sound of Music – nestles in the scenic Austrian landscape, and is also renowned as the birthplace of Mozart. The new route is set to be popular with those looking to ski with a range of ski resorts on its doorstep or for those looking to visit Christmas markets.

easyJet will also be extending nine existing summer services to operate through out next winter. Connections to Gran Canaria, Enfidha, Malta, Faro, Antalya, Tenerife, Marrakech, Malaga and Palma will now operate all year round, providing customers in the region with even greater choice and connectivity across the airline’s unrivalled leisure network spanning Europe and beyond. 

Millions of seats from the UK, including from London Southend, are also now available to book for the winter 2025 season between 15 December 2025 and 22 March 2026.

easyJet holidays will also be offering package holidays to several hand-picked hotels across seven destinations during the winter 2025 season – with free kids’ places widely available.
