Once you get there you’ll find a beautiful dune-backed beach where the River Granel meets the sea – just make sure to plan your walk around the tides! 

The South West Coast Path (Newquay to Mawgan Porth)

The South West Coast Path is a certified Cornish classic. You can start your walk near Porth Beach, just on the north side of Newquay. From there you can follow the South West Coast Path up to Mawgan Porth Beach, about 4 miles north along the coast. Enjoy the rolling landscapes and rugged cliffs, with plenty of spots to stop and take in the view. If you’re feeling adventurous, keep going! The whole trail is over 600 miles long in total, with plenty of places to stop off on the way.
