Then again, there’s something utterly charming about an aimless wander in the city of lights, perusing restaurant menus on every corner and delighting in finding your very own hidden gem.
Helpful tip: ‘Je voudrais’ is ‘I would like’ when asking for an item from the menu.
Bakeries
Who says romance has to be all expensive meals and rich red wines?
Sometimes the perfect Valentine’s Day date means taking in life’s simple pleasures – a walk in the park, a favourite film… or the smell of freshly baked bread. If you’re looking for authentic parisian croissants for breakfast or romantic chocolates to eat in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, look no further.
Although, if you’re not saying ‘Santé!’ with your croissants in front of the iconic landmark, then you’re not doing it right.
