From ski slopes to summer sun: Geneva flights soar into summer from London Southend

Read time: 2 minutes

London Southend Airport is turning up the heat on one of its most-loved winter routes, with easyJet flights to Geneva now on sale right through to mid-June 2026.

Traditionally a festive favourite, the popular Geneva service is being extended beyond the ski season, giving passengers even more reasons to travel from across Essex, London and East Anglia next year.

Firstly, the route will be extended through April, giving snow-lovers an extra-long ski season from London Southend. Then, as the weather turns milder and the sunshine arrives, Geneva opens the door to lakes and mountain holidays with twice-weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays until June 19.

That means travellers can swap their snowshoes for walking boots with an early summer adventure!

Nigel Mayes, Business Development Director at London Southend Airport, said: “We know that our flights to Geneva, which currently operate up to four times weekly, are extremely popular with our passengers, so being able to extend the season all the way into June is great news. Whether it’s squeezing in a few more days on the slopes or heading out for a holiday in the glorious French Alps, travellers can now ditch the UK drizzle and enjoy breathtaking lakes, mountains and more from their easy, speedy, friendly airport.”

Each winter, millions of travellers pass through Geneva to reach the world’s largest ski area, home to 200 resorts, all within a three-hour journey of the airport. The region also includes four of the world’s most visited ski destinations – La Plagne, Les Arcs, Val Thorens, and Courchevel – and is also close to five of Europe’s top ten luxury ski resorts.

With summer flights now added to the existing 25 destinations from London Southend Airport, Geneva is no longer just a winter wonder. Instead, it’s a year-round escape for a mixture of sun and snow activity-lovers.
