London Southend launches scratchcard campaign with chance to win £2,000*
London Southend Airport surprised thousands of London commuters this month with the chance to win £2,000 easyJet holidays credit towards their next package holiday.
As part of an experiential campaign at London Fenchurch Street and London Liverpool Street stations, the airport handed out 10,000 co-branded scratchcards to busy travellers – sharing its easy, speedy, friendly message while giving people a reason to celebrate on their journeys home.
And it wasn’t just the top prize up for grabs – every scratchcard was a winner, with exclusive offers including:
- 30% off airport parking
- 30% off airport lounge booking
- £60 off an easyJet holidays booking
Commuters, tourists and even staff at the stations were quick to get involved, with thousands of people accepting a scratchcard to ‘play’ on the train; London Southend Airport being just 52 minutes from Liverpool Street.
The campaign not only highlighted the benefits of flying from London Southend – as well as its route network to 25 destinations across Europe and North Africa – but also promoted awareness of the airport’s key non-aero products, such as parking and the SKYLIFE Lounge.
Delivered in collaboration with easyJet holidays, the activation served to strengthen the multi-year partnership between airport and package holiday provider/airline, and showcased the perks of choosing to #FlyLondonSouthend.
