From nervous to fearless: special experience flight takes off from London Southend Airport this Sunday
London Southend Airport will welcome a very special group of passengers this Sunday, June 1, as easyJet’s Fearless Flyer Experience Flight takes to the skies – helping people overcome their pre-flight jitters with newfound confidence, coping techniques and in-flight celebration.
Taking off at 2.30pm, the one-hour round-trip flight is the final step of easyJet’s highly successful Fearless Flyer course, which has helped more than 11,000 people conquer their phobia of flying.
The Experience Flight is exclusively for course participants (and their companions), giving nervous flyers the chance to soar in a calm, controlled, and supportive setting – debunking a few misconceptions about flying along the way, too.
The day includes:
- A warm welcome from the Fearless Flyer Team
- A dedicated check-in process to ease passengers through the airport
- A specially trained crew onboard the exclusive flight
- A relaxation session once aboard, to help everyone feel settled
- Live, in-cabin commentary from an additional pilot throughout the flight
- An in-air graduation ceremony
- Access to a photo gallery for participants post course
And the support doesn’t stop there. As part of its wider wellbeing initiatives, London Southend Airport is also proud to work with the Essex Therapy Dogs team, regularly on hand (or paw) in the terminal to greet passengers with wagging tails and a calming presence. Whether it’s a reassuring wet lick or a cuddle to ease the nerves, these four-legged friends are a favourite among passengers and staff alike.
