London Southend Airport launches competition to win SIX holidays, plus cash
London Southend Airport has dropped teasers for a brand-new competition with the chance to win an easyJet holidays package every week for the next six weeks, hiding cash and holidays around the county for people to find.
‘The hunt is coming’, promises the award-winning airport on Instagram, tagging in fellow collaborator Cash Hunt Essex.
And the first ‘hunt’ was revealed today (Monday, November 4) at Essex County Cricket Club ground in Chelmsford, which included a spectacular prize bundle.
Participants had the chance to win £100 cash, a coveted London Southend Airport Golden Ticket offering free parking, fast track, and lounge access, two tickets to an Essex Cricket match, and a holiday voucher to Pisa, Italy worth an impressive £600.
Today’s winner, Luke Hawes, will fly from London Southend Airport to Pisa next summer, when airline partner easyJet launches a new three-aircraft base, taking flight to 10 brand-new destinations.
Luke, who described Cash Hunt Essex as “genuine” and “fast-paced”, says he is looking forward to the holiday after “saving for a home” since last year.
He also encourages people to have their notifications on for the best chance to win.
The scavenger-hunt-style competition, which is set to run for six weeks, invites participants to search for prizes around the county. Each week promises new destinations, with easyJet holidays and additional perks waiting to be uncovered.
Marketing and Digital Content Manager Sarah Leonard said: “London Southend has always been a gateway to adventure, and this latest collaboration with Cash Hunt Essex is no exception.
“The holiday hunt promotes our breadth of easyJet holiday destinations – from Pisa in Italy to Marrakech and Almeria, Spain – and aims to bring together the thrill of discovery with the joy of travel, making this an event not to be missed.”
Participants are encouraged to stay tuned to London Southend’s social media channels for further clues and updates. The next opportunity to win will be announced soon, with more incredible holiday packages and exclusive prizes up for grabs.
